Hi, I'm Claire Gallagher, and this is Third House Gossip, where we spill the astrological tea. So pour something delicious and let's chat. This podcast is sponsored by me. So to support the show and support yourself, come see me for an astrology reading. Just head to astrologywithclaire. com. That's astrology with C L A I R E dot com.
Hey, Astro Lover. Welcome back to Third House Gossip. This is the astrology for the week of April 14th, 2025. But before we dive into that, I have a really important announcement or a couple of announcements, so get ready for story time. So Venus has station direct, or is about to when I release this podcast, and Mercury retrograde has come to an end as well.
And so that means our experimental season of doing weekly forecast has come to a conclusion. I wanna thank everybody who voted. And filled out the survey. That was really helpful. I took that [00:01:00] into deep consideration as I also spent about a week making this decision, and what I've decided to do is transform the weekly forecast into something else, which I'll talk about in just a second. I'm gonna continue, obviously, to talk about the current astrology, but I'm gonna do so on the podcast in a way that's a little less intense. So I've been going through every single aspect for the week, which is pretty. Labor intensive. I'll just let you know it's fun and it's, I think really valuable.
But I've decided for this podcast, I am just going to pick out the really important pieces and dive into them in a little bit more of a deeper look. A slower look. I'm also going to be doing more interviews with people about astrology unfolding in their lives and sharing personal deep dives and stories.
So we're gonna do a mix of both, but we're gonna. Peel back the intensity [00:02:00] on the forecast. Today I'm gonna do a forecast like we have been doing just because I wanted to give you one last deep look at all of the aspects for the week. But I wanna let you know about what came out of this process for me and what I've decided to do with it.
I'm really excited to share that I've developed a community called the So Below Society, and that comes directly from the saying as above, so below. And the So Below society is a space where we will dive into every aspect and every transit and talk about it in depth. All right, so this is a space for astrology levers who are devoted to tracking transits and squeezing the most out of them.
We're going to wrap lofty astrological concepts in down to earth language. With my guidance, we're gonna [00:03:00] turn cosmic word salad into. Actionable steps, and you're gonna learn how to identify important transits, what they mean and how to use them. So if you've really enjoyed these weekly forecasts and you're ready to master transits and understand what they mean and watch them on a deeper level, I really encourage you to join the So Below Society.
In the So Below Society, we will do weekly Nowcasts, which are very similar to what I've been doing over the last six weeks. So in the Nowcast, I'm gonna dissect the Transits of the week and offer ideas on how to manage them with concrete, practical tips. They're like mini masterclasses. They're really gonna enhance your intellectual understanding of transits.
It's gonna be very similar to these episodes, but I'm probably gonna do it a little slower and also offer a bit more guidance in what to observe, what you might notice, [00:04:00] and also what to do with the transits. I am really excited about the next thing that you'll have, and that's a transit journal guide. So the best way to keep learning astrology is to keep a journal, but it has to be a kind of specific way of journaling, and I'm gonna teach you how to do that.
In fact, in a transit journal guide, I'm gonna give you exactly what to look for, um, prompts, questions, diving off points so that you can begin drawing meaningful astrological patterns in your life. We're also going to be meeting at least three times a month. Live together two times a month. We're gonna be doing planet co-channeling.
So in these group journaling sessions, we're gonna let go of the techie astrology and dive into relating to the planets as guides or friends or aspects of your higher self and get guidance from them. I'm gonna kick us off with a centering practice, then we're [00:05:00] gonna journal together and we're gonna come back and.
If you want to share any relevant guidance you received. And then at the end of each month, we're gonna do a celestial review. This is when we're going to come together as a small group, review our transit journal notes, like compare and contrast, and actually look back over the months astrology and discuss how it actually unfolded.
And this is where you really learn astro. This is really powerful. I'm so excited to do a like astro look back together. I think I'm most excited about that. You are also gonna get two bonus things. So I'm going to be doing a live class within the Society on Transits. It's called Getting Started with Transits.
That's happening I believe on May 2nd. And you're also going to get access to Guided, which is a. Prerecorded webinar that I did in 2022. It's a two and a half hour class on connecting with the [00:06:00] planets and getting cosmic guidance on anything you want specifically through journaling.
So if you wanna create more ease in your life by working with the cosmic flow, you wanna finally understand transits without being overwhelmed.
You want to incorporate astrology into your projects or business in an easy way. The so below society is definitely for you.
The so Below society is for beginners and advanced practitioners of astrology. This is a place for really all levels of Astro curious to astro professionals to come together and just commune over what's happening in the sky right now and how it is being reflected in our life below.
So the dates that you need to know, the doors for the So Below Society are open right now. You can join today. The Early Bird pricing ends on April 20th, so I would jump in as soon as possible to make sure you get the [00:07:00] early bird pricing. The content starts rolling out on the Taurus New Moon, which is April 27th, and the doors close on May 1st, so you won't be able to enter after May 1st.
This is a three month transit immersion experience, so we'll be roughly together through May, June, and July of 2025. A few days before and after that. Just to be technical, all of the information is on my website, astrologywithclaire.com/sobelowsociety. I will also link it in the show notes below. I'm really excited about this.
I think this is going to be something that will really elevate your astrological knowledge and also your ability to apply it to your daily life in a useful way. All right. I think that's everything I have to say about the So Below Society.
Let's dive into the astrology for the week [00:08:00] of April 14th, 2025. We're gonna start with our roll call. So the moon is just coming off of the Libra Full Moon, so it's still in its full phase at the beginning of the week, and it's gonna start waning through to the last quarter Moon on Sunday.
It's moving through Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius, where it will be the last quarter on Sunday. The sun starts the week in Aries and will move into Taurus. Mercury is direct. Hooray. It's starting off the week in Pisces and then moving into Aries. Venus is direct as well. Hurray. Hurray. It is still in Pisces.
Mars starts the week in cancer and then moves into Leo. That's big news. I'm so excited for it. Jupiter is in Gemini. Saturn is in Pisces. Uranus is in Taurus. Neptune is in Aries, and Pluto is at the third degree of Aquarius. So just from the roll call, we can tell that there are a lot of [00:09:00] moving parts. This week we have 1, 2, 3, 3.
Planets changing signs unless I miscounted, which I probably did. But, um, that just indicates that things are in motion. And what's also happening is, uh, cosmic drying out. So we've had a lot of planets and Pisces, a lot of planets in water also moving very slowly. And we've had Mars and cancer for quite a long time, and now Mercury and Mars are gonna move out of water signs and into fire signs. So things are gonna start drying out and speeding up.
There's not much going on Monday and Tuesday. So we're gonna pop over to Wednesday, April 16th when Mercury enters Aries. This will be Wednesday, April 16th, unless you're in the Western US or Canada. It will be the 15th. So the last time Mercury was an Aries started on March 3rd, and this was before the retrograde started.[00:10:00]
Mercury is still gonna be in its retrograde shadow period until April 26th, but this is a real improvement from what we've been having. All right, so Mercury has been in a really confusing and swirly kind of place, both because it has been retrograde and it's been in the sign of its detriment and fall.
Now Mercury is getting wrung out, so it's, it's been swimming in the details and in the emotions and a little bit confused potentially. And now we're starting to wring mercury out and get back to what's important and what's clear. So it's drying out, it's speeding back up, and it's getting back to its normal self.
So have a look back to what you were working on at the beginning of March, before the retrograde started, and have a check in with that thing. Now that the retrograde is over and you've done your beta testing and you're experimenting, and you're questioning and you're reviewing, what changes would you like to go ahead and implement [00:11:00] now to that thing?
Because it's green light time to go ahead and make those changes and make those shifts. What new things are you also ready to move forward with another green light? This is really about locomotion acceleration. Mercury in Aries is really fast. It is a direct communicator. It's clear, it really doesn't deal with excess information.
It's a no nonsense communicator. It's very efficient. It's also courageous and bold and it can do a lot of work quickly. So if you have a pretty lengthy to-do list, do not fear, mercury and Aries can help you pop through that pretty fast. You will really feel this new transit kick into high gear when Mars also moves into Leo on the 18th.
Pretty soon after Mercury moves into Aries, it's gonna make a conjunction with our freshly [00:12:00] ingress Neptune in Aries. This is happening on Thursday, April 17th, unless you're in the Western US or Canada. It will be on the 16th. Okay. This is a great day to put your observation goggles on. Uh, like carry a notebook, you know, be, be a scientist, be an observer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn what Neptune and Aries is gonna be about. So I want you to take notes about what you're thinking about, specifically, any wild new ideas or fantasies about your life or the future. Also about the house topics where Aries is in your chart. Okay? So for example, if Aries is in the 10th house, note what kind of dreams you're having about your career or your public facing life, or if Aries is in the first house, maybe you are noticing new things spark around how you take care of your body, or how you express yourself or your general life [00:13:00] direction.
No. Even though Mercury is direct, it's in Aries. Anytime it touches Neptune, things can feel a little bit foggy. So even though we're like, yay, mercury is moving again, it's quick, it's fast, it's direct. It does have this little blip on the radar first. So if you need to be really clear about something, I might wait just a couple days, um, until this conjunction is over.
So maybe towards the end of the week. But regardless, I want you to note any new imagination stuff come up like this can be a really creative transit. It can be very, um, future oriented, seeing what's possible, what's bright and what's coming. I also want you to take note of Mercury things like what new conversations are you sparking or having in your life?
What are you talking about? Note any new mysteries [00:14:00] as well. What are you questioning? What are you a little confused about? What do you need more clarity on? Remember that Neptune in Aries is kind of fascinated by Aries things and Mars things. So you might notice a fascination around independence being your own thing, like being an individual, taking things out on your own.
Doing a solo thing, you might be really interested in how to cultivate more energy or more efficiency. You also might be noticing new conflicts or new challenges that are coming up in a different area of life that you haven't really had to navigate before. So just put on those astro scientists goggles and just be an observer on this day and have fun noticing the new themes that are gonna be. With us for over the next decade.
Next up we have big news. Mars is entering Leo. It [00:15:00] is finally leaving cancer. It's been in cancer. What feels like, gosh, it feels like six months. I'd have to, I'd have to count, but it's been a really long time since it's been swimming in cancer. So it's entering Leo on Friday, April 18th in the Western US or Canada.
It'll be on the 17th. So again, the last time it entered, Leo was before the retrograde, and this was way back on November 3rd, 2024. It's still gonna be in its retrograde shadow period until May 2nd. So there's still some cleaning up and clearing up to do, but it's gonna be hanging out in Leo through mid-June.
So please enjoy. This is a major improvement for Mars. It's going from a place where it's uncomfortable, where it's really not able to handle a lot of activity, where it's really distracted by the past, where it's really overloaded with emotion, it can feel weighed down and, [00:16:00] and heavy.
Um, and it's moving into a place where it. Is quick, it's passionate, it's excited, and it shares a lot of similarities with Leo in terms of quality, so. The sign Leo is hot and dry. Mars as a planet is also hot and dry. So when Mars isn't a sign that's hot and dry, it's like, yes, I know how to work everything in here.
I'm feeling good. Let's do this. So again, Mars and Leo is. Brushing the past away. It's fully here in the present, and it's ready to move forward with restored vision and confidence and a little flare. So the hypersensitivity of Mars and cancer and those self-protective edges and and patterns will start to melt and to soften.
We've learned a lot over the Mars retrograde about what directions are a waste of our time and energy, what things are distracting us, [00:17:00] and we're getting back on track with more interest and motivation in a singular direction.
Next step. We have another planet moving signs, and this is the sun moving into Taurus. This is happening on Saturday, April 19th, unless you're in Australia, it will be on the 20th. So I want you to just take a minute and locate Taurus in your chart. And when we're talking about the sun and transits from the sun, I like to think of the sun as a highlighter.
It brings gentle awareness and warmth and just light to whatever part of the chart. It's transiting. It's like turning on the lights in a dark room and taking a look around and going, Hmm, what's in here? Oh, I forgot about that. Oh, look at this. All right, so it's awareness building. The Sun and Taurus brings a steady, consistent undertone to the month.
It's all about finding what feels good in the moment and following the sensations of pleasure and [00:18:00] cultivating like those simple, juicy goodness in life. Goodness is is not really a word, but you know what I'm saying. All right, so. Note where you can add a little daily decadence and pleasure, do some little tiny upgrades and small kindnesses that you can insert into your schedule and into your life in a practical way.
So there's a big transition when the sun moves out of Aries and into Taurus, there's like a cooling off. So the urgency and the push that the sun and Aries tends to carry really starts to taper off. And we're taking that inspiration and that fire and that drive that we had in airy season and we're packaging it into something that's a little bit more sustainable with a longer term vision.
Something a little bit more practical. So we had that spark, that idea that, you know, stroke of insight and now it's like, what does this really look [00:19:00] like and how can I actually take this forward in a measured way?
Moving right along to Sunday, April 20th, we have Venus making a sextile to Uranus. So this is a Threepeat. This is the last of a series, and I should say, if you're in Australia, this will be on Monday, the 21st. So the last time this happened, or excuse me, the first time this happened was January 26th, and the most recent time it happened was April 8th, and now it's happening again on April 20th.
So the, the difference this time is that Venus is direct instead of retrograde. Alright, so we talked about this, was it? Just last week. It's this willingness to try something different in your relationships. It is a time to experiment and do something fresh and new. Try connecting with the people in your life in a spontaneous and fun way, but also think about your [00:20:00] creative life.
So following those Uranian urges to try something different. Try something innovative, do something a little out of the box experiment. Um, this is a great day for art and expression, and that can be in whatever medium is your medium. Okay? So whether that's visual art or if that's writing, or if that's speaking, you know, this is a great time to have.
Like those aha moments and those breakthroughs in a creative sense. But make sure you're doing your creative thing for the breakthrough to occur. You can't just be like sitting on your hands and waiting for the breakthrough to come, like actually engage in your craft and then you'll start to feel that that momentum.
From a practical perspective, this is a great time to just explore a new part of your community, go out somewhere different, you know, get out in the hubbub, in the busyness, and just have fun. Be spontaneous.
Next up we have another threepeat. [00:21:00] So Mercury is gonna make a sextile to Pluto on Sunday, April 20th, unless you're in Australia. This will be Monday the 21st. So the first time this happened was March 5th, if you wanna look back. The second time was March 25th, and now we're doing our third and final sextile on April 20th.
So when Mercury and Pluto interact, it's all about depth. Okay? You might notice that you have really intense focus. You want to take one thing really deep, you wanna figure something out. You might have a little trouble task switching, and that's totally cool. Like allow yourself to just almost obsess over one thing if you want.
It's a great time for research and deep thinking or deep studying. You might be revisiting some conversations you had over Mercury retrograde with powerful and influential people in your life that have lasting effects, and it's just [00:22:00] generally a good time for gaining deep insight about something. So grab your journal and get writing.
All right, and we've come to our final aspect of the week, which is a little bit tense, and this is the sun making a square to Mars. This is happening on Sunday, April 20th. Unless you're in Europe or Australia, it will be Monday the 21st. So anytime we have a square, there is a tension between two planets and with the Sun and Mars.
It might be a bit of a growing pain around your self-expression and having to face some fears and move through some challenges around how you wanna show up and assert yourself in the world at large. So this might show up as a new challenge to overcome. And that doesn't have to be bad. It can be something like you can't wait to sink your teeth into that.
You're ready to work hard towards something that you can enjoy working on. But it is hard work. You know, this is a square I. When the [00:23:00] sun is involved with Mars, sometimes there can be authority. Things come up, themes about power and being your own authority, going your own way, making your own choices. So you might notice that you feel like, oh, well so and so says I should do it this way, but you wanna do it that way.
Um, this might cause a little bit of rub and stress, but I encourage you to lean on your own power and authority and go out your own way. There might be a push to do something that scares you just a little bit and requires a little bit of elbow grease and effort.
All right, Astro Lover. Thanks for listening to the astrology of the week of April 14th. Just remember that the So Below society is open.
