Hey, astro Lover. Welcome back to Third House Gossip. Sorry, it's been a minute. I had to take a week off because as you know from last episode, I stopped drinking coffee and oh my goodness, it has been. Such an intense process for me. I really didn't expect it to hit me so hard. I knew it was gonna hit me hard, but we're on week three and I'm still struggling.

I'm still suffering quite a bit, really low energy, really hard to focus, and so I was like, you know what, girlfriend? You get a week off of podcasting. So I took some [00:01:00] time and hopefully you didn't miss me too much, but I am back today with a little bit of. The main astrology for the week ahead. So this is the highlights of the week of May 12th, 2025.

Just wanna talk briefly about the Scorpio Full Moon and also the sun making a conjunction to Uranus later over the weekend.

So I think this week has the potential to be extremely revelatory, to show us some things that maybe we didn't see before to shake things up and give us some courage to step out, to kind of give us a nice kick in the pants and get us going in a place maybe where we've been stuck. And that's what I love Uranus for a lot of times people are scared of Uranus or feel afraid that it's gonna be too much.

But another word that I love for Uranus is fun and exciting, and so hold space [00:02:00] for the fact that Uranus can bring some unexpected pleasures and some really great insights that you've been craving and you didn't even know that you needed.

Let's get started with some chitchat on the Scorpio Full Moon.

This is happening Monday, May 12th in North America and Europe and May 13th if you're in Australia. This Scorpio Full Moon is happening at. The 22nd degree of Scorpio. So if you have something, a planet or an angle at the 22nd degree of a fixed sign, so that would be Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, or Aquarius. This full moon is gonna be important for you and it is right directly on my Saturn.

So I am curious what that's gonna be about. Anyway, this is happening Monday, basically in the middle of the day if you are in the eastern United States like me. So let's break this down. This is a full moon. So as with all full moons, it's about culminations and something coming [00:03:00] to fruition. And there's a lot of ways you can thread this full Moon into a storyline.

You can look at it certainly as the culmination of the current lunar cycle that we're in. So of course, since its Taurus season, we had our Taurus New Moon on April 27th, a couple weeks back. And so this Scorpio full Moon is the natural.

Culmination or fruition of what was happening two weeks ago. So what you were working on, what you were thinking about, the seeds you were sowing are starting to pop up now, or the seeds that you weren't sowing are not popping up. And I'm thinking particularly of me, um, really not sowing seeds in a particular area that I needed to and not having anything really to show for it at the full moon, which is interesting.

No big deal. Sometimes that happens. Another way you can look at this, Scorpio Full Moon is as a culmination of the Scorpio New Moon, which happened way back in November. [00:04:00] November 1st, 2024. I. So that's a kind of fun way to thread the year together is to get, gather all the loo nations in the same sign and use them as points of connection throughout the year.

So the Scorpio New Moon, the Scorpio First Quarter Moon, the Scorpio Full Moon and the Scorpio last quarter, moon, all are gonna carry similar themes. They're just gonna have a little bit of a different energy imprint. 

What does a Scorpio full moon do? A full moon is essentially just a big, bright light placed inside your natal chart. So you just need to find Scorpio in your natal chart. Figure out what house Scorpio occupies, and that's the area of life that this full moon is shining Its light upon for you.

So if you turn the light on in that house, what do you see? And we can also boil this down to some Scorpio keywords and key phrases. First of all, Scorpio [00:05:00] is a fixed sign, so it has a really dense energy. It's really solid. It is consistent, it's deep, and it's a water sign. So that depth and that consistency and that secrecy almost happens in water places.

So our emotions, our spiritual body, et cetera. So we put all this together and we get some Scorpio, key keywords like intensity and depth and power and complexity and mystery and privacy. So as you can imagine, Scorpio isn't a sign where the full Moon feels really welcome. You know, Scorpio would rather be in the dark, would rather not share all its secrets and be exposed, but here we are anyway.

The Scorpio Full Moon happens once a year and well. Most of the time, once a year, [00:06:00] and all of these secrets and things that we typically hide inside are kind of coming up and bubbling up to the surface. So a Scorpio full Moon is extremely revelatory. It reveals mysteries to us and to others. So mysteries about yourself, mysteries about a certain project that you're working on.

And when I say mystery, it could also be like a problem that you can't solve that suddenly is bubbling up to the surface and you can see it in a new way.

Beyond secrets and bringing hidden information up to the surface and unlocking things that have made us feel stuck. The Scorpio Full Moon can also reveal strategy to us. This is. A sign ruled by the strategy planet, which is Mars. And so Scorpio is really good at figuring out how to make things work more efficiently and work more effectively.

So you may have some insights around this full moon, about where you've [00:07:00] been wasting your time, where you've been spinning your wheels, and how you can cut that piece out and make things run more smoothly.

You might hear some things about the Scorpio Full Moon in regards to stepping into your power, which is the very tired phrase, but it's pretty relevant when it comes to the Scorpio full moon. The full Moon is big and bright and beckons us to step out, to step up to be visible, and Scorpio brings.

Elements of influence into the mix. So where do you hold influence? Where do you have sway? And how are you using that power in your life? The Scorpio Full Moon is a time where you may notice, oh wow, I have more influence than I thought. Or, oh wow, I didn't realize what I said about this certain thing. Would make such a huge impact on somebody, so it is a good time to meditate or think about how you use your sway and your influence in your [00:08:00] realm.

The Scorpio Full Moon is not making a lot of intense aspects, nothing super close, but there is a very wide opposition it's making to Uranus and Taurus. So Uranus brings a slight feeling of wildness and instability to anything that it touches, and so it's gonna make this full moon that is already pretty high energy.

Even more so this is likely going to be one of those classic full moons that people talk about drumming up a little drama. So when Uranus is involved in the mix, new things can come to light even more so than Scorpio by itself. Scorpio on its own as a full moon is going to bring revelations and insights, but with Uranus in the mix, it's going to be.

Double that. So expect things to not really go as planned, which is no big deal. Be flexible, go with the flow, but also have a notebook handy. Be ready to jot down ideas. [00:09:00] Uranus is just gonna bring things to the surface that you maybe didn't expect and can make the full moon a little bit theatrical. 

The ruler, as I said earlier of this full moon is Mars. And so Mars themes like effort and work and energy and drive and motivation are gonna be themes of this full moon. So. A couple things that are coming up for me is like, where am I spinning my wheels? How and where am I exhausted? Like, how am I exhausting myself? Where am I being inefficient in my work and how can I clean that up?

Those are very Mars questions. Mars is 10 places away from the full moon. So that's gonna bring in 10th house themes subtly to the full moon, and that means career matters. So Mars and Leo is really bright. It loves to be on stage, it loves to be in front of people, it loves to [00:10:00] do, it's doing in the light of day.

It wants to be praised and it wants to be applauded. So when I'm thinking about. This Mars in Leo, this really theatrical bright Mars ruling the Scorpio full moon. I'm thinking specifically about how you are putting yourself out there in your work. How are you setting yourself apart in your work? How are you expressing yourself authentically in your work?

Or maybe how are you not doing that, and what is the cost, like? How challenging is that for you? Is it worth it to button yourself up or are you ready to come out and step into your power? I couldn't help it.

So I have a couple prompts for you to consider under the Full Moon, and these are some Mars questions. So some questions you can ask Mars or you can ask the Scorpio Full Moon, and they are, where am I spinning my [00:11:00] wheels? Where am I wasting my time and energy, and how can I be more efficient? The next one is what's exhausting me?

How can I be more protective of my body's vital energy? And. What needs to go in my life? What's the first step in cutting this thing out? So a lot of times with full moons, we see what needs to be removed under that bright light, and especially when that bright light is ruled by Mars, the planet of cutting and severing and dividing, we often see, Hey, that's not working.

Let me cut that out.

The next thing on my list for the week is the Sun in Taurus, making a conjunction to Uranus in Taurus. This is happening Saturday, May 17th in North America or May 18th if you're in Europe or Australia.

So the full moon is always a little bit dramatic, but it really isn't taking the cake this week. To [00:12:00] me, the sun making a conjunction to Uranus is the more pivotal and the more dramatic storyline of the week. The sun. Simply acts as a highlighter and it takes its cosmic highlighter any color you want, and highlights a big circle around whatever planet it touches, and it activates that planet and turns it on 110%.

So the sun is bringing all of its highlighting power to unstable, erratic, and wild Uranus. When Uranus is in the sun's spotlight, you might feel electric, you might feel really alive. You might feel an itch to do something different than you ever have before. You might decide you need to turn your plans inside out.

You wanna do them backwards, you wanna invert them, you wanna scratch them all together. You wanna start over and start fresh. These are all possibilities when the sun makes a [00:13:00] conjunction to Uranus. On the day of, it can be as simple as wanting to take your walk backwards and go a different route to work or wear a really bright shirt, you know, something that you wouldn't normally do. These are ways we can channel Uranus energy in a constructive and playful way. I also encourage you to go with the flow.

Go where the electricity is, go where the juice is. If you have a really bright and shiny idea, don't dampen it down, like don't put it to the side. See, I mean, if you have to at least write it on a sticky note and put it to the side, but if you can follow the juice, please go where the electric vibes are

in terms of planning, you can't really plan for the sun conjunct Uranus. You just plan for no plan or you plan for the unexpected. So if you have a lot going on that day or a lot of meetings, just see if you can put some buffer time in between. You might want to see if you can rearrange a few [00:14:00] things just so that you have more space for unexpected things dropping in.

Now what I find most interesting about this particular conjunction between the Sun and Uranus is that this is the last time the sun will make a conjunction to Uranus while it's in the sign of Taurus, at least an our lifetime, unless you're gonna live a really, really, really long time. So, Uranus has been in Taurus since 2018.

So roughly the last seven years and each year during tourist season, the sun has made a conjunction to it. So this is the final time that that's gonna happen and the final time, the sun, which represents our identity, our sense of self, as well as just that cosmic highlighter I talked about. It's the last time it's going to touch Uranus while it's in Taurus, because Uranus is about to move signs in July.

It's gonna move into Gemini, and I'll talk about that in July. Anyways. What I think is super interesting or important [00:15:00] about this is that it's a really great time to reflect on what Uranus has been liberating you from over the last seven years. So Uranus has been been doing something for you in your natal chart over the last seven years.

So find Taurus in your birth chart. That's where Uranus has been transiting over the last little bit since 2018, and has been bringing new ideas, fresh perspectives, and totally turning that part of your life on its head so that you can move forward in a fresh, new way. So take some time maybe on Saturday to reflect on what Uranus has been freeing you from and liberating you from.

When the sun and Uranus come together, there can also be a desire to really express yourself in the most authentic way possible. And I know authentic is kind of up there with power. It's a, a word that's very tired and needs, needs a rest.

But to [00:16:00] say what's on your mind, to be bold, to be clear, to be very no nonsense about who you are, what you believe, and what you need. So when the Sun and Uranus are combined, there can be a shakeup in who we think we are, who others think we are, how we're being perceived, and we have to integrate that change.

And that can be dis. Discomforting. That can be uncomfortable sometimes, but it's usually for our greater good as a whole. All right. That's all I have for you this week. I hope you enjoy the Uranus vibes and have some wonderful surprises.
